Fox FM sensationalizes central market demo

Kumasi based Fox FM seem to have attended and reported a demonstration of their own Tuesday morning.

The station which did a great job 0f pursuing the Kejetia and Central market reconstruction issue on Tuesday on Tuesday carried sensationalism to a different level when they reported that several women ranging between 17 and 85 years old were demonstrating stark naked. The reporter, one Anokye went ahead to report that apart from those who were stark naked, there were several other demonstrators who were partly naked.

From all intents, portions of the reportage could better be described as staged as no naked women were present at the demonstration but yet supposedly naked women were interviewed.

This reportage set the tone for the panelists who spoke on the much respected morning show.

This development leaves one thinking why anyone would go through such lengths to sensationalize a demonstration.
