Businesses are collapsing because of this 'dumsor' crisis
15.02.2015 LISTEN

Businesses are collapsing because of this 'dumsor' crisis and all that government officials can do, is to give lame excuses to Ghanaians.

People are loosing their jobs day in day out all because some few incompetent group of people are taking inconsiderate decisions that is negatively affecting the lives of the Ghanaian majority.

I ask myself over again and again if these people making the affairs of the country have the interest of the people who gave them the luxury and comfort they are now enjoying at heart.

Situations are evidently clear that things are really getting tough for the ordinary Ghanaian, yet government officials have the impudence to spit on the faces of Ghanaians by telling them that the so called 'better Ghana agenda' is still on course. This government should really sit up because if you think you built a school or a public toilet somewhere in Ghana( which by the way, is a responsibility of government) and so you should be patted at the back, then I'm sorry, you must come again.

I become so irritated whenever I hear government spokespersons blaming the 'dumsor' crisis on the previous government;

Well, it could be their fault but tell you what, Ghanaians gave you the mandate to rule over them simply because they knew, the N.P.P could no longer better their lives; so you better shut up and drive or better still, if you can't take the heat, then just get out of the kitchen, simple!

Some of the remarks of these government officials are so annoying and irritating that, I wonder if they have the right mindset to be handled with such great responsibility as managing the affairs of the country. People are bitterly complaining about the economic hardships in the country yet our leaders don't seem to care. They are seriously amassing wealth to the detriment of the people who gave them the power. The situation is now a loot and share 'portey' between the leaders of the nation.

Gadgets in our various homes have now become monuments and just gathering dust because there is no electricity to power these machines. If after 58 years of independence as a nation, and we are still battling a common necessity like electricity, then it's a shame to me and to whoever is reading this piece as a Ghanaian and to the people who matters the most - Government!

The most frustrating part of these whole ordeal of 'dumsor' is how high electricity bills are churning out these days. It's now like, the higher the number of times you sleep in darkness, the higher the electricity bill you must pay. I could not count the number of times I slept with lights in the past months but my electricity bill keeps rising.

Please, Mr. Mahama 'do something before you die' because Ghanaians are really choking under your watch, so please find a lasting solution to these problems because '3k)m no ano ay3 rough'
