The evidence is all around us. Ghana does not have enough educated people and it is costing this nation a great deal. Yet, we have over schooled the society to our own detriment.
Our obsession to pass exams has taken over common sense and the need to broaden our knowledge.
Chew-pour-pass-and-don't-apply, is our understanding of education.
To us, schooling has been reduced to attendance and education has been reduced to schooling. We only value things that can be marked and examined.
As it stands now, the future will be very interesting.
