NDC Is KIA Cocaine Transshipper, Mr. Adams

NDC Is KIA Cocaine Transshipper, Mr. Adams
20.01.2015 LISTEN

I am not here to defend the drug-war record of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), as I am not a card-carrying member of the party; neither do I have any forensically sustainable evidence to prove that the NPP has been more vigorously at war against drug-trafficking than their counterparts among the vanguard ranks of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

As an NPP member, I lasted only seven months, after paying my $100 dues, before being summarily expelled on trumped up charges by Messrs. Kofi Boateng, Agyei-Yeboah and the Kentucky-based Dr. Agyenim-Boateng. The real reason, of course, was for taking then-President John Agyekum-Kufuor to the carpet, for what was then widely perceived to be his mischievous attempt to deviously impose a presidential candidate of his choice on the party.

I would be shortly brought up on charges of deliberately impeding the smooth-running of the affairs of NPP-USA Media Committee and, as a corollary to the latter, accused by Dr. Agyenim-Boateng of embezzling party funds that I never received nor were collected by NPP-USA Media Committee, of which I was the nominal treasurer, and for which no evidence was ever provided nor can be provided to prove otherwise. In sum, what I am trying to say here is that I am the last person who ought to be defending the New Patriotic Party on any perceivable grounds. My sole motivation for doing so, however, inheres in the nauseating self-righteousness of many a key operative of the National Democratic Congress, after the untold acts of murderous persecution and moral and material filth which they have inexorably visited on many a well-meaning and hardworking Ghanaian.

Really, it is a damn shame that Mr. Kofi Adams, the newly elected National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress, should be calling his NPP political opponents "Drug Shippers" (See "NPP Is Cocaine-Shipping Party - Kofi Adams" Vibeghana.com 1/8/15). It is a damn shame because Mr. Adams served as a spokesman for the late President John Evans Atta-Mills, a man whose mysterious death Mr. Adams has been publicly aspersed by the man whose job he presently holds, as one who might be criminally privy to the same. In other words, if anything at all, Mr. Adams ought to be the last NDC operative to credibly accuse his NPP counterparts of any acts of flagrant legal breach or criminality. Even more significantly, what I initially wanted to point out is the fact that President Mills was widely knowned to have impugned the integrity of his own KIA security employees before the then-Chief U.S. Diplomat or Ambassador to Ghana.

And so I don't suppose that Mr. Adams sincerely believes Ghanaians to be too naive to fully appreciate the political skullduggery that the likes of Messrs. Adams presume to cavalierly pass off as an epic battle against drug-trafficking and transshipment in the country. It is also inexcusably preposterous for Mr. Adams to deny that Ms. Nayele Ametefe (aka Ruby Adu-Gyamfi) was actively aided by KIA operatives with access to the VVIP-Lounge or the Airport Presidential Lounge, when the convicted cociane queenpin herself has been widely reported to have stated in court that she had significant assistance from powerful men in government in her attempt to smuggle 12.5kgs of commercial-grade cocaine through London's Heathrow Airport on Nov. 10, 2014.

What is even more significant and may afford Mr. Adams a wistful modicum of solace, is the fact that Ms. Ametefe has also, allegedly, indicated that she has been offered considerable high-powered assistance by key players in government since 2004. That, of course, puts the beginning of her cocaine-trafficking career under the tenure of the Kufuor-led government of the New Patriotic Party. Which further vindicates Mr. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong's very public assertion that key players from both of Ghana's major political parties are equally guilty of giving succor to big-time illegal drug-dealers.
