Nana Wiafe Akenten III Ofinso Manhene in the Ashanti region, has been honored a citation award for his candid contributions towards the sustainability of choral music in the country, at the choral fest 2015 and awards held in Kumasi.

Millennium Media concept in collaboration with celestial city choir, celestial evangel choir, catholic philharmonic youth choir, Kumasi Methodist singing band and Peyer memorial Congregation choir, present the Choral fest 2015 and awards to honor dignitaries who have added momentous contributions to promote choral music and to revive the spirits of its singers.

Other awardees included Nana Obeng Manu chief of promase, Mr. Joseph Eshun Famiyeh principal of Wesley College of education, Mr. Collins K. Adusei Otumfuo secretary Manhyia palace, Rev. Samuel Adu Gyamfi the district chairman of clan Peyer memorial congregation-bantama among others.

Nana Wiafe Akenten III ofinso manhene and a choral Singer, started singing from 1969, and he was awarded in the first category for passionately supporting choral music with lots of his resources from decade of years ago to date.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nana Wiafe expressed appreciation to the organizers of the program for recognizing his contributions in supporting choral music in the country and honored him accordingly.

"This tells me that my work has gone far before the Lord, and time for this candid reward, I taught no one sees my efforts, but indeed this is the time for such great honor ". He noted.

Nana again revitalizes the singers to try and offer their best within to enhance the work of the Lord, since there are greats rewards awaiting future.

He said, is time the youth uses their body to work for God instead of using to promote evil. This he said will give the better life they are seeking for.

He urged the singers to get a renewal of spirits and work to offer praise and worship to the Lord.

Nana wiafe called on other youth out there, to desist from smoking drinking, robbery among other deviant acts to offer their body and their way to serve the lord.

In an exclusive interview with Daily guide newspaper, he charge parent to cushion their wards with the word of God, so as to keep them under the Lords umbrella.

"Parent must take responsibilities and care for these children's that they have brought on earth. You brought them and should be responsible for their needs". He charged.

"We will definitely acclimate for anything we does on earth on day, due to this, as parents we need to train our wards on the path of the Lords". He stated.

According to him, imparting good moral deeds unto our children will assist eliminate most in-deviant acts found among the youth in the country.

He also advices his colleagues chief's to include religious manner in their rulings as chiefs in their respective areas. According to him, this will help acquired enough wisdom to deliver to expectation.

He added that, this will avoid them cultivating habit of bribery and corruption, and rule with Justice.

"Any God fearing chiefs hate bribery and have mercy for people. Chiefs should make them self available to attend to their people". He stated.

However, the chairmen of the occasion, Nana Kwaku Amankwah Sewuah manhene in his remarks applaud the organizers for such colorful ceremony and encourage them for to continue the program, which according to him will help revive the choral spirits within the performers.

He reiterated his outfit will continue to support the initiative to help flag it to national level.
