Bamako (AFP) - At least five people were killed when unidentified gunmen attacked an army camp in central Mali near the Mauritanian border on Monday, local officials and a UN military source told AFP.
The attack was carried out in the early morning hours in Nampala, which lies 530 kilometres (330 miles) northeast of the capital Bamako, a local official said, adding that at least five people were killed. A UN military source confirmed the report.
