The Lead Pastor of Cerda Mountain, Assemblies of God, Ghana International Church[CMC] Rev. Dr Stephen Wengam, has commended Ghanaians at large for the resilience and the patience they have exhibited throughout the year despite the economic crisis and difficulties the country encountered.

This he said has promoted peace and unity in the country. The man of God , who made this known to Modern Ghana in exclusive interview , further entreated Ghanaians to endeavour to

pray for the leaders in authority so that they can implement policies that would help strengthen the economy in order to Ghana a better place for all.

" I urge, first of all, the petitions , prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people - for kings all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness 1Timothy 2" he quoted.

According to him, 2015 will be a brighter year with blessings and opportunities; but only those who will work assiduously would triumph. He also advised the youth to eschew the idea of getting rich quick; that is indulging in immoral activities such as 'Sakawa' and rather pursue their education since education is the key to success in every developing country.

This he said, whenever the country is crisis or any challenge the youth should endeavour to face it with faith and rather come out with creative and innovative ideas to help tackle them.

This he said could make them to become economic independent. He also frowned upon the manner in which the youth are misusing the social media platforms to do all kinds of immoral activities. Such as the posting of pornographic materials and other related images.

“ Such acts have the tendency of hindering their chances of getting job because before an employer will offer you job or absorb you he/her firm, intends to investigate you to find out the kind of communications you engaged in” he revealed.

Adding that, they should rather identify its relevance make use of it judiciously since it entails a lot of benefits. Touching on the deadly Ebola disease which has claimed numerous lives in some part of the West African countries, he said since they are the men of God and the gate-keepers of the nation they will continue to pray feverishly to prevent the entering of the deadly disease in the country.

However, he has therefore advised the government and stakeholders to intensify public education on disease since more has to be done if really Ghana as a country wants to contain it.
