Second Lady Commends Karela Resort for promoting tourism in Nzemaland

The second lady of the Republic of Ghana Mrs. Matilda Amissah-Arthur has commended management of Karela Beach Resort, a new four star hotel for promoting tourism through Nzulezu in the hospitality industry.

According to her, the initiative by Karela Resort to promote Nzulezu is commendable since it will help to attract more tourists to visit the Nzulezu village by using the facility as a resting and preparatory joint.

Mrs. Amissah-Authur made these remarks when she inaugurated the Karela Beach Resort facility at Beyin in the Jomoro District last weekend.

'We must help the management of Karela Resort to achieve their mission and vision by ensuring that the facility is given the needed support'.

She called on the various agencies in the hospitality industry to put in place measures that would seek to promote their area of jurisdiction to help attract more tourists and investors to the area.

On her part, a Director of the Hotel, Mrs. Abena Brigidi in her address gave the assurance that Karela Resort is focused at serving its clients with the best services irrespective of their offer and demands.

'Karela is committed to attracting all clients to experience the best services from our dedicated and hardworking staff' she added.

Mrs. Brigidi stressed that the facility would serve as a 'home out of home' for tourists across the world with its ultramodern luxurious facilities, which is made up of over forty (40) room capacity.

“It is tangible evidence that we are delivering on the commitments made by Karela Beach Resort and would call on all to support our good course to help raise the quality standard of the tourism industry in the rural part of the Western region” she emphasized.

The Omanhene of Western Nzema Traditional Council Awulae Annor Adjaye III lauded the move by the Management of Karela Beach Resort to promote Nzemaland through tourism and urged that professionalism must be the hall mark of its staffs towards clients.

He advised the youth to take their education and vocation seriously to help position them earn good jobs to boost the rapid development of Nzemaland.

Awulae Annor Adjaye III, who was also the chairman for the occasion tasked the management of the facility to exhibit their best skills in their daily duties to complement the facility's slogan 'the Jewel of Amanzule'.

Karela Beach Resort is located at Beyin, near the junction to 'Nzulezu' and also two kilometres (2km) from the Ghana Gas Processing Plant.

It has a two hundred and fifty (250) capacity conference hall which can be used for all levels of meetings as a business centre.

The facility, which is open to the Atlantic Ocean with natural white sand beach will render both surfing services to clients as well as provide boat ride trips to 'Nzulezo' for both clients and tourists.

It will also operate with two restaurants, a swimming pool bar and a bar as well as a grill hut where clients and tourists will have the pleasure of selecting from the pond their preferred catch.
