Religious and corporate institutions and other individuals have been enjoined to prioritize charity services to the underprivileged in society.

This is important in promoting the educational, socio-economic and emotional wellbeing of orphaned children.

The Presby-Methodist Church in Yafo, Tel Aviv, Israel, in the spirit of the Christmas season, donated foodstuff to inmates of the Kumasi branch of REMAR GHANA, a Christian Charity Organization.

“As Christians we need to help people and these children need such support to be happy and confident in life,” said Seth Kwame Sakyi, who presented the foodstuff on behalf of the church.

He noted that it is a spiritual duty to promote the upkeep of less fortunate institutions, and appealed for increased aid to support the less fortunate.

REMAR GHANA feeds cloth, educate and show care and attention to inmates.

The organization also provides skill development and training to the orphans, street children, drug addicts, alcoholic, prostitutes and needy people under its care.

Kumasi Director, Thomas Teiko, says the home is survived on philanthropic individuals and organizations.

He therefore urged regular support to sustain the upkeep of inmates.
