As part of activities marking its annual Thanksgiving Service, the management and staff of Zoomlion and the Jospong Group of Companies, have donated items worth several thousands of Ghana Cedis to some orphanages and shelters in the country.

At the end of every year, management of the Zoomlion and Jospong Group of companies organize a week-long thanksgiving service to express gratitude to God Almighty for His blessings throughout the year.

Offertory from these services with additional cash commitments from management is used to purchase items such as bags of rice, cartons of milk, gallons of oil and boxes of chocolate, which are presented to selected orphanages and homes, as well as the less-privileged members of society.

Other items included disinfectants, bathing soap, assorted biscuits and drinks, as well as cash.

This year, the Alcohol and Drug Free Missions located at Dzorwulu and the Alpha and Omega Academy at Chorkor/Kyemuena, both in Accra were the beneficiaries.

The chaplain of the Zoomlion group Rev Bright Addae, who led the delegation to make the donation, noted that the gesture formed part of the company's corporate social responsibility.
