I Was Not Paid To Withdraw Suit—Hon. Didiyie
20.12.2014 LISTEN

Former National Organiser aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Aboagye Didiyie, has rubbished claims he was influenced by money from some party big wigs to withdraw his suit against the party.

Aboagye Didieye, who is also a Member of Parliament (MP) for Afram Plains North, filed a suit against the party claiming he was unjustifiably prevented from taking part in the Saturday December 20, 2014 National Delegates Congress. He was seeking an order to restrain the party from holding its congress until the issue is resolved.

He however, decided to withdraw the case from court because he claimed to have had several appeals from the party's Council of Elders, national executives, the Eastern region caucus, the Eastern Regional Minister and other high ranking members of the NDC.

Since his withdrawal, the rumour mills has gone into overdrive, with some party members saying he had been bribed.

But Aboagye Didieye on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem Friday December 19, 2014 insisted he withdrew the suit because of the love he has for his party and not under monetary influence.

“I was neither bought nor influenced with money as people are purporting. Party members begged me to withdraw it and I did because I don't want to draw my party back.

“I realized that some people were also taking advantage of the situation to destroy me but I will say today that the worse will happen to those people. My party members begged me and I forgave them” he explained.
