National Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has vowed to investigate the source of 'magical monies' being distributed to induce delegates in its upcoming congress.
He maintained that the NDC is not for sale thus 'power hungry moneybags' [wealth people] cannot buy their way to higher positions.
Dr. Kwabena Adjei who faces stiff opposition from his own vices on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday opined that practiced if left unattended to will affect the integrity of the forthcoming congress scheduled for Saturday, December 20th, 2014 at the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi.
He said the monetization which is gradually creeping in to the NDC has overshadowed the principles of probity and accountability on which the party was built.
“The monies appear magically and they [moneybags] use for magical things in the party” he stated.
Dr. Kwabena Adjei stated unequivocally that only weak politicians use money to influence delegates in an election.
“I'm a politician who finds ways and means to influence people; I don't use money” he exclaimed.
The NDC Chairman was convinced those using monies will be found wanting in future when they are quizzed about the source of funding.
“I will investigate where they got the monies they are using to destroy the NDC; dead or alive”.
