Indomie Rallies Support For Sanitation Day

Multi Pro Private Limited, the local representatives of Indomie Noodles, has urged organizations in Ghana to support the National Sanitation Day instituted by the current Mahama administration.

The National Sanitation Day, which has been set aside to undertake cleaning throughout the country, falls on the first Saturday of every month.

Indomie, the major producer of noodles in the country, is leading the campaign to provide a number of institutions with litter bins and other cleaning equipment.

The move is to help keep the environment clean even after the clean-up exercise.

The country's premier hospital, Korle Bu has benefitted from Indomie's initiative.

Head of Public Relations, Mustapha Salifu, received the bins on behalf of the hospital.

He was joined by Robert Annang, Head of Environmental Health Unit and his deputy Samuel Ashley as well as Alex Arhin, Head of Bio Statistics.

Mr Salifu commended the company, saying that sanitation remained a priority for the hospital.

He was hopeful the bins would help keep the hospital clean.

At the 37 Military Hospital, Lt. Col Rex Adzagba, Administrative Officer- Medical, received the bins on behalf of the management of the hospital.

He was full of praise for the company and said the litter bins would help in efforts being made to keep the hospital clean.

He also urged the company to bring in more bins to ensure that every nook and cranny of the hospital stays clean at all times.

During the weekend, some management and staff of the company joined the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) and the market women at the Central Business District to clean up the area.

As a brand in the food sector, the company said it was very concerned about people eating contaminated food and therefore decided to take part in the exercise at such a densely populated place where filth piled up very easily.

After the exercise, the company presented litter bins and some cleaning equipment to the AMA.

Presenting the items, the Brands Manager, Shine Torsoo indicated that the company was committed to cleaning the surroundings at all times.
