Nana Takes Campaign To London

The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is preparing to meet members of the United Kingdom (UK) branch of the party.

The meeting, which is scheduled for Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the Dominion Centre, 9 Broadway, High Road, Wood Green, London N22 6DS, would enable him to brainstorm with members of the party on the way forward ahead of the crucial 2016 general elections.

A statement signed by Nana Yaw Sarpong, Communications Officer of NPP-UK, said the event would start at 6pm and end at 9pm with the discussion at the Town Hall expected to centre on the state of Ghana's economy, the current political and social climate, the urgent need to implement electoral reforms and Nana Akufo-Addo's message of hope for Ghanaians.

Akufo-Addo recently delivered a thought-provoking paper during the Aliu Mahama memorial lectures, which ruffled the government.

He has already begun a campaign to restore progress, dignity, economic and political transformation in Ghana, confident that the country would come back to life under his leadership.

The NPP as a party blames the country's economic woes on the backward policies, entrenched corruption, mismanagement of public finances, abuse of state institutions, lack of vision and poor leadership of the John Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.

The UK branch of the NPP has therefore called on all Ghanaians in that country to join hands with him (Nana Addo), irrespective of their political affiliation or background, in a national crusade to win political power in order to rescue Ghana from the economic and political mess in which it finds itself under the NDC.

'Ghana needs new leadership. Ghana needs Nana Akufo-Addo who will provide the humble, honest, practical and serious leadership that is needed to develop and transform our country,' the statement indicated.
