John Sterlin, who is a brother in-law to the 2012 presidential candidate of the Progressive People's Party (PPP), Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom over the weekend picked nomination forms to contest in the party's parliamentary primaries in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Constituency of the Central Region.

According to him, he would not depend on his relationship with Dr Nduom but work hard to win the seat for PPP in the 2016 general elections.

When Mr Sterlin stormed the party's office at Elmina to pick the nomination forms, he promised to offer members of the party what he termed 'grassroot leadership' to capture the KEEA seat.

'I am here to think together with you to lead you in house-to-house campaign and lead a very decent political campaign that the constituency deserves,' he added.

Mr. Sterlin emphasized the need for the delegates to vote massively for him in the parliamentary primaries and not to reject him for the second time.

He lambasted the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Dr Nana Ato Arthur for performing abysmally.

'We therefore need a unified voice to kick out both the national and local administration and that is the pact I wish to enter into with you if you elect me as your parliamentary candidate,' he added.

Mr. Sterlin stated that PPP was ready to rescue Ghanaians from the political bondage and provide fearless leadership to boost development.

He indicated that the people of the area were yearning for a competent leader, who could lead the fight against squalor, diseases, poverty, poor education and unemployment.

Mr Sterlin pledged to come out with plans on how to rebuild the famous Brenya Lagoon Bridge.
