Kate Quartey-Papafio, Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana Marketing (CIMG) Woman of the Year 2013, has advised female graduates to exhibit the right professional attitude in every task they undertake.

Speaking at the 6th Congregation of University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), she said 'With the right attitude, the willingness to work hard, even with minimal remuneration and desire for self-improvement, you will be preparing yourself for success whether as employees or preferably employers.'

Ms Quartey-Papafio said women are capable of excelling as entrepreneurs, urging the graduates to develop the positive attitude to venture confidently into the business world.

'I encourage you all to develop the right attitude to excel and avoid the negative perception that women are not good entrepreneurs and strive to get to the top of your careers and be convinced that the sky would be your limit,' she said.

Ms Quartey-Papafio, who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of REROY Cables, the leading indigenous cable manufacturing company in Ghana, entreated the graduates to remain focused and explore the numerous opportunities that come their way.

'Give off your best; continue to develop yourselves by reading extensively and updating yourselves in area of your profession.

'I know that most of you spend a lot time on social media sites and whatsApp etc, use these tools, not only for leisure, but  to increase your knowledge to be on top of your profession,' she said.
