Guwahati, December 12 (IBNS) : At least five people were killed in a road mishap in Assam's Kamrup district on Friday, police said.
The incident took place at Azara Matia in Kamrup district on Friday morning, where five people were killed in a road mishap.
"The driver of a Tata pickup van had lost his control and the speedy vehicle falling in road where three people killed on spot and six others injured, " a police official said.
The injured persons had rushed to Guwahati medical college hospital.
Two among the injured persons had succumbed their injuries in hospital.
The deceased persons were identified as Pankaj Maranta, Kiransen Gohain, Moniram Das, Gopal Kalita, Ranjit Pathak.
