Brand Ghana, an image branding institution set up in Ghana in September, 2009 has formed a partnership with Brand South Africa with an aim to boost the continents image and potentially attract more investors in this effort.

Ghana and South Africa's history and friendship diplomacy spanks several decades and can be traced indeed from pre-colonial through to the struggle for independence and apartheid.

Through this partnership, Ghana and South Africa seeks to collaborate in the area of governance, and value systems, trade and competitiveness while learning from each other.

To answer the question of what does it take to get citizens involved in branding, Corporate Affairs Manager of Brand Ghana, says a conceptualization and delivery approach will be used where the media will play a key role to set the agenda in nation changing and building. To this end, the institution has met with editors from the various media houses across the country to engage them in rebranding the nation.

Dr. Petrus de Kock, Research Manager of Brand South Africa, says, ''regardless of who we are as a people, we must strive for better.'' He was optimistic that Africa can rise again and therefore this effort with Brand SA and Ghana is very crucial.

Again, he advised that engagement with the media and social media presence was very necessary.
