Living A Truthful And Authentic Life

Living A Truthful And Authentic Life
25.11.2014 LISTEN

Each day, miracles occur in our lives. Most often we are so bent on focusing on our frustrations that we fail to see the blessing in our mishaps. Today was one those days that seemed that nothing was going on right for me. I dropped my children off to school, got to the bank to withdraw funds and couldn't find my bank card not to talk of my wallet.

Meanwhile, I had a later appointment at the bank. I looked everywhere for my wallet, I knew it was not lost, I had misplaced it, where I couldn't even fathom. I went to my work place, I cleaned up my car, went home and searched the house place from top to bottom all to no avail. Right about noon time, I stooped to pick up a sock close to my father's scooter and here was my wallet. The wallet was sitting on the scooter seat with the seat bent forwards and the steering wheel also bent into. In other words, they had formed a cocoon around my wallet.

And so I found my wallet. Prior to this, the bank had called me to say they were having issues with their systems and that they would let me know if their system come up. I was excited because I did not have the necessary documents to take to them. This is the best part, the lady said, if you need a new card and some money come in, we will assist you. The ladies upfront know you in person.

I was floored because this kind of service you don't get often in this day and age. Anyways, when I found the wallet and went to the bank, the bank employee whom I had spoken to earlier called me as soon as she saw me. She asked if I had time. Of course I did. I found my wallet. Very quickly she set the account for me. Instead of the appointment that had been rescheduled for the following week.

Why do I share with you? The reason is that, with everything that happened, I came to the understanding that of the good will and positive attitude, not thinking negative, taking things in strides, even with the uncertainty of the morning, the day was much more marvelous. Living a truthful and authentic life can open so many doors for you. You come across people who will vouch on your good will and stand with and for you. The truth shall set you free and often if it does not set the body free, the truth sets the mind and soul free.

These are the two most important aspects of living an authentic life. Your guilt has the power to judge you, crucify you and hang you. The untruth sits and eats into your soul. You become unhappy and are always looking over your shoulder. Learn to speak and walk in truth. Live an authentic and truthful life and you shall reap the rewards. Have a blessed day.
