The plaintiff in a court suit against the ruling NDC has finally agreed to an out-of-court settlement of the matter.

Linus Njonolah, secured an injunction last month to stop an impending national and regional executive elections of the party.

He questioned some clauses in the party's electoral regulations which barred non-former executives from contesting in the elections.

The party has subsequently expunged the contentious clauses from its regulations.

A Kumasi High Court, Monday, ruled that the matter be addressed internally after the party's had earlier failed to heed to a suggestion of an out-of-court settlement by the presiding judge.

Speaking to the Media after the ruling, the General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia said the party is impressed that the plaintiff insisted on his rights.

'We commend Linus for insisting on the right thing to be done, he has acted in furtherance of the rule of law in the party.'

He also dismissed fears that Njonolah will be punished for suing the party.

'He hasn't committed any offense to warrant a punishment from the party'.

He added that the party will re-open nominations at the regional level for five days to allow for individuals who were earlier disqualified from contesting to also file their nomination.
