After the landslide victory of Nana Akufo-Addo with over 94 percent vote in the just ended Presidential Primaries, the National Executive Committee of the United Front Party (UFP) in a congratulatory message to NPP called for bridging the gap between the NPP and the minority political parties as former President Kufuor did in 2000.

'If truly NPP desire to win power in the 2016 general elections then it is very necessary for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to emulate the leadership style of former President John Agyekum Kufuor for his excellent role of bridging the gap between the NPP and minority Political Parties in Ghana as well as ensuring excellent relationship with them which resulted in NPP victory in 2000 and 2004 general elections,' UFP urged.

However, the 2012 Parliamentary Candidate for Assin South Constituency on the ticket of Progressive People's Party (PPP), Stephen Kofi Baidoo on  Okay FM's Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, called on PPP and the other smaller parties in the country to join forces with the NPP after he denounced his  MEMBERSHIP  from the PPP to join the NPP.

He was resolute that the NPP has the machinery coupled with the ability to get things done in the country; thus in terms of party structures, it is well  POSITIONED  to fast-forward the development of the country.

Without rubbishing the effort of the PPP to make Ghana better, Mr. Kofi Baidoo Junior admitted that Papa Kwasi Nduom's PPP has not got the  REQUIRED  party structures to form a government as it will need a collaboration with the NPP to make things happen for Ghanaians.

'As for PPP we have just started and with due respect for Papa Kwasi Nduom and his team, I think with my analysis if PPP and the smaller parties will join forces with NPP because of the largeness of the elephant and its ability to get things done, I think we can help to move Ghana forward…I feel in the bottom of my heart that we are better off  WORKING  with Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP to make Ghana a place that we want to live; in terms of party structures, the hugeness and the machine, NPP has them,' he confessed.
