NPP NPP Has The Men And Women Who Can Do It—Akufo-Addo

Presidential Candidate-Elect of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) stated emphatically without mincing words that the NPP has the men and women of integrity with capable hands to rescue Ghana from the current economic hardships under ruling John Mahama and his NDC government.

He said the NPP as a party was the surest alternative to the economic mess created by the NDC and called for support from all quarters of the party to champion this agenda in 2016.

“I am profoundly humbled by the overwhelming support given to me and I assure you that I will do anything humanly possible to justify your confidence in me come 2016 as I lead the party once again,” Nana Akufo-Addo stated.

Nana Akufo-Addo was addressing a jubilant and praise-singing crowd of NPP supporters and leaders who had gathered at the Efua Sutherland Children's Park as he delivered his victory message in the just ended NPP Presidential primaries on Saturday night.

According to official results from the Electoral Commission of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo secured 117, 413 representing 94.35% of total valid votes cast as against his closest rival Alan Kyerematen, who polled 5,908 representing 4.75% of valid votes and Hon. Addai-Nimoh walking away with 1,108 representing 0.91% of total valid votes cast.

He further welcomed the massive support the NPP grassroots had given to him urging all hands to be on deck to cooperate and advance the cause of the NPP.

In a remark, his closest rival Alan Kyerematen, announced before the teeming NPP crowd he had conceded defeat and expressed his readiness to support his best friend in politics Nana Akufo-Addo to win power for the NPP in 2016.

“To me, contests between Nana Addo and Alan had always been labelled as a Kotoko and Hearts Of Oak affair; whoever wins on the day gets the support of the people. I will like assure you all that I will fully support my good friend Nana Akufo-Addo and I urge all my supporters to support the Akufo-Addo NPP campaign for power 2016,” Alan Kyeremanten pledged.

Hon. Francis Addai-Nimoh on his part also conceded defeat and pledged his readiness and massive support for Akufo-Addo and NPP to secure victory 2016.
