Encountering Christ’s Breakthrough

“Crowds of sick people- blind, lame, or paralyzed- lay on the porches. One of the men lying there had been sick for thirty-eight years” John 5:3-5.

When Jesus Christ returned to Jerusalem for one of his Jewish holy days inside the city, near the sheep Gate, was a pool of Bethesda, there were five covered porches. Time and Time, an angel of the Lord visits to stir the porches for others to step into to be set free from slavery and captivity. For 38 years, a lame man who could not receive his healing met Jesus Christ, the healer. Jesus Christ came not hear your complains, rather to administer answers to our questions.

Steps to Encounter Christ's Breakthroughs
1. Stop complaining: In John 5 of the same quotation, when Jesus Christ met the lame man; he knew he had been ill for a long time. So he asked him whether he wanted to get well. The lame man replied in verse 7 of the same chapter saying “I can't, sir, the sick man said; for I have no one to put me into the pool when the water bubbles up. Someone else always sets ahead of me”. The lame man had no faith.

Blindly, the lame man could not recognize the man before him. Therefore he had no choice than to complain and feel self-pity. Fellow readers, God knows your predicaments. For you to experience God's miracle you need to stop complaining, avoid the usage of interrogative words like `Why, What, How, Which` during such trials. As the angel of the Lord stirs up the porches (home, town, work, school and other unpleasant occurrences) to bring breakthroughs, so shall it be if you. Stop worrying yourself but focus on the grace of God upon your life. For worry brings sorry.

2. Take a faithful step without complaining: From verse 8-9a Jesus said; “Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!''. Instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up his sleeping mat and begun walking. Praise the Lord!

The lame man exercised greater faith in the word of Jesus Christ to receive his breakthrough. Is now your turn to encounter your breakthrough in your finances, marriage, education, successes as you believe in the work of Jesus Christ.

3. Later Christ disappeared into the crowd without the healed lame man seeing him. Within a couple of hours, Jesus met him in the temple and said in John 5:10 `` Now you are well; so stop sinning, or something even more worse may happen to you''

From today as you receive your breakthrough, stop sinning so that you do not experience bad omen to halt your blessings.

No matter what happens, believe an angel of the Lord will surely visit you in order to encounter your breakthroughs. God has not given up on you. So do not give up on him either.

“But to all who believe him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn-not physically birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.” John 1:12-13

I invite you to take absolute control of my life. Beloved if you have prayed this prayer, you are born again and welcome to God's family.

5. Have faith in the word

PRAYER

Father in heaven, I thank you for the breath of life. For your world has notified me that, it is not over until an angel of God visit me to receive my breakthrough. I believe from today my breakthrough is not far from me.
