Media Reach OMD Prepares To Lead

MediaReach OMD, an Omnicom Media Group agency with mandate to cover the West and Central African region, says it is poised to lead the way again in providing world-class media planning and buying services to blue-chip companies and local clients across the sub-region.

According to Nitinchandra Nandekar, Managing Director of OMD Ghana, the world has become a much smaller place with regard to information, knowledge acquisition and entertainment as the use of the internet via mobile devices such smartphones and tablets grow dramatically.

'MediaReach OMD is West and Central Africa's leading independent media specialist and has been focused on developing & providing world-class media planning and buying services to leading international clients across this sub-region,' he stated.

Its operations in Ghana began in March 2007 with a small but dynamic team of young media professionals, and have since gained a very high reputation for professionalism, accountability and effective media campaigns for leading brands through the use of audience data-driven media planning and a re-definition of stakeholder relationships.

The board, management and staff of the agency took time off recently to have a two-day retreat at the GIMPA executive conference centre after seven years of successfully operating in Ghana.

Consultants from the Songhai Group, a US-based corporate execution and development firm, were there to help shape and direct their medium to long-term corporate and business strategy.

Nandekar stated that 'MediaReach OMD benchmarks against the global advertising industry and provides quality services across various categories of clients. 'We are not just a media agency but we like to be seen as partners of our clients, working hand-in-hand to develop and introduce successful brands'

The MD added: 'We were the pioneers in demonstrating the scientific GRP-based planning process in this market through the use of Mediastar. Currently, we are in advanced negotiations with IPSOS Dubai to launch Z-Plan, a more advanced Media Planning, Optimization and Evaluation tool by the end of this year 2014.'

The agency is acknowledged by its peers and clientele for its role in transforming media agency service delivery through various initiatives aimed at supporting industry-led efforts to ensure that the Ghana All Media and Products Survey (GAMPS), Radio and Television Audience Measurement Survey (RAMS & TAMS) data were delivered and analysed through industry standard approaches and methodologies.
