I Will Empower The Grassroots For One-Touch Victory In 2016—Alan Kyerematen Declares
23.09.2014 LISTEN

Mr. Alan Kyerematen has assured Constituency and Polling Station Officers of the NPP of his preparedness to make them the front line soldiers of his campaign to be president, when given the nod on October 18 primaries.

Speaking to hundreds of delegates at Sawla, where he made a whistle stop, Mr Kyerematen noted that he is determined to run a grassroots based campaign with the polling station officers being at its centre of its operation. He added that the party could achieve political power if the necessary resources and logistics are timely made available to the grass-root officers of the party for effective prosecution of the campaign.

He stressed that if given the mandate to lead the party in 2016, he will provide motor bikes, bicycles and funds directly to the polling station and electoral area coordinators and also a brand new pick-up to each constituency which will be registered in their names to facilitate their work.

At Bole, Mr. Kyerematen reiterated similar calls and added that in order to win the general elections, enough power must be given to the grassroots and be made to lead the campaign at their various stations.

Mr. Alan Kyerematen mentioned that in 2007, he was able to provide motorbikes and bicycles to all the constituencies across the country even though he was not yet a flagbearer. He added that he has a proven track record of being action oriented and delivering on his promises.

This was amidst applause and chants by the delegate's present. The Bole constituency youth organizer and his colleagues confirmed receiving motorbikes and bicycles in 2008 from Mr. Alan Kyerematen to aid their campaign during the general elections. They called for increased involvement of the youth in the activities of the party.
