The overlord of Gonja land, Tuntumba Boresa I, says Mr. Alan Kyerematen will be successful in his bid to become the President of Ghana because he has a good heart and intentions to lead the country.

The Yagbonwura said this after receiving Mr. Kyerematen and other members of his campaign team at his palace yesterday when the latter paid a courtesy call on him.

He stressed that he was happy to see Mr. Alan Kyerematen once again and that he will at all time render his support, guidance and blessings to him.

Mr. Alan Kyerematen on his part thanked the overlord of Gonja, for his continuous support and blessings towards his success and for also opening his doors anytime he called upon him.

He added that 'I am seeking to become the Presidential candidate of the NPP and subsequently the President of Ghana because I believe I can make a difference in the lives of our people and the development of the country”.

Mr. Kyerematen also disclosed that during his tenure as the Minister for Trade, Industry and PSI, he was able to secure a $60million dollar facility to initiate a Groundnut factory at Buipe. He also began the Savelugu sugar factory.

These projects were meant to create adequate jobs for the people, and revenue for the development of the north, he added

However, he mentioned that, the projects were abandoned after the NPP government was changed.

Still at Damango, Mr. Alan Kyerematen called on Lermu Jakpa II, the Chief of Damango, who sought God's blessings for him and also advised him to be determined and focused, in his pursuit to lead this nation.

Mr. Kyerematen assured the Yagbonwura that, if by Gods grace and their prayers he is able to become President of Ghana, he will revamp those projects and create more industries in the region in order to provide jobs and income for the people of the North.
