Tears As Imo Speaker Eulogize Late Chioma Oguoke

Ehime mbano local government on Saturday stood still for the late former commissioner and the immediate past transition committee chairman of Ehime Mbano local government council, Hon Chioma Oguoke as her remains was given a heroic reception by the government and people of the state.

Before the body arrived at st. Charles catholic church umunumo, the church and canopies mounted within and around the premises were filed up with people, including government officials, monarchs, the clergy, youths, women, workers, friends and well wishers of the rescue mission government from across the globe.

Late Chioma Oguoke's body, carried in a golden casket and accompanied by his children and relatives, was laid inside the church after been received by the Governor,Owelle Rochas Okorocha,his wife Nneoma Nkechinyere Okorocha and the Speaker Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Benjamin Uwajumogu.

The Speaker in his tribute, described the late Oguoke as a great loss to Imo state and to Okigwe zone, stressing that Chioma was a person whose life gave meaning to others.

Rt.Hon Uwajumogu further described late Oguoke as a super woman and an achiever, whose large heart and big body size will always be noticed by anybody who came in contact with her while she was alive.

He said; ''once she is satisfied that the step she was taken was for the interest of the rescue mission administration led by the governor, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha, Chioma was ready to undertake it and was a colossus among men in the political field''.

Uwajumogu, who wept while delivering his tribute to the late Ehime Mbano TC boss, maintained that she was a woman that will stick her neck to fight the cause of her people.

He said; '' in difficult moments, like when she was dropped as a commissioner, late Chioma radiated hope with her cheerful smiles, she had a deep passion for helping others''.

The Speaker while recalling his encounter with late Chioma, said he had never met anyone so patient and dedicated to her duties as Chioma had, he pleaded with the Governor to name the Ehime Mbano council hall, which she constructed while in office after her to immortalize her.
