Sunyani, Sept.19, GNA - Dr Bernard Otabil, Chief Executive Officer of Ghana News Agency (GNA) has observed that the re-branding of the Agency is vital and urged the staff to be in tune with efforts by Management to make it relevant on the media landscape.

He said re-branding is vital to increase productivity, improve on excellence and mutual respect for each other, and that, team work should be the hallmark to achieve success.

Dr Otabil made the call at a meeting with the staff in Sunyani during his two-day working visit to the Brong-Ahafo Region.

He explained that these values superseded all other interest of any employee wishing to be part of the GNA team and therefore should prioritize their interests to sustain the progress of the Agency and relegate their personal interests to the background.

Dr Otabil called for attitudinal change and commitment to ensure organizational culture of discipline and excellence, adding 'We must re-brand ourselves to culminate to the re-branding of the GNA for a positive and significant impact on national development'.

The staff appealed to the management to include them and their colleagues in the regions in workshops and seminars organized with development partners to keep them abreast with developments in the mass media.

They also asked for more logistic support and motivation to improve on their performance.
