The Leading contender of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP's) presidential race, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, yesterday pressed ahead with his re-election bid to become the party's flag-bearer for the 2016 general elections as he stormed Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, to campaign for more votes as the October 18 congress zeros in.

However, ahead of the campaign, a couple, Emmanuel Nyarko and Yaa Pokuaa, named their triplet sons after Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to honour the NPP 2012 presidential candidate 'for his selfless commitment and dedication to the cause of the nation' as well as his acceptance of the Supreme Court verdict on the presidential election petition, 'which was an obvious cheat.'

According to the couple, the triplets signified victory for Nana Addo's third-term bid to ascend the presidential throne as he had demonstrated that he would be the best leader Ghana might have had.

Nana Addo expressed his appreciation for the honour done him.

Nana Addo, being an orator by nature, convincingly canvassed for sup-port to be elected as the flagbearer in the

upcoming congress of the party.
That was after he had thanked them for their votes at the party's special delegates' congress on August 31, 2014, which saw him winning more than 85 percent of the ballots cast in the region.

With the NPP primary just a month away, Nana, with support from Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia - his running mate – is trying to convince the party's delegates across the nation that he is still the best choice for the NPP to chal-lenge its political opponent for power in 2016.

After a closed-door meeting, George Ayisi-Boateng, a founding member of the party and confidant of Nana Addo, told DAILY GUIDE that the NPP presi-dential hopeful asked MPs in the region to continue with their support for him and also work to maximize the votes.

According to Mr. Ayisi-Boateng, Nana Addo also told his audience, including constituency executives, that he was bent on restoring integrity to the presidency and hope for Ghanaians when elected president.

“The hardship as a result of poor management by leaders of the country is Nana Addo's concern; and he wants to restore hope by transforming the economy when given the opportunity to serve with Dr. Bawumia,” he articulated
