Kenu initiated court action against the ex Ghana striker over an alleged physical assault meted him a day before the Black Stars played its opening  2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Uganda .

Two counts of assault charges were also brought against Asamoah Gyan's business manager Samuel Anim Addo who according to Kenu was an accomplice in the alleged assault.

But the case was struck out after the renowned Graphic journalist told the court he was no longer interested in prosecuting the case any further.
