Vicky Hamah Boyfriend Arrested! Over Assault, Cash

Victoria Hamah
Reports reaching DAILY GUIDE indicate that former Deputy Minister for Communications, Victoria Hamah, has reported a case of assault against her boyfriend to the police, leading to his arrest.

The sacked deputy minister was alleged to have, at about 7:45am on Wednesday September 10, 2014, stormed the Dansoman Police Station in Accra and reported her boyfriend, Richard Frimpong Dardo, to the police after they had disagreed on an issue about sexual intercourse.

Victoria was said to have told the police that Frimpong Dardo had beaten her up and stolen her unspecified amount of money.

DAILY GUIDE gathered that a police search at the residence of Victoria, where the incident occurred, had revealed that the suspect had 'scattered' the room.

Narrating the incident to DAILY GUIDE, a source stated that on the morning of Wednesday September 10, the counter NCO, one Corporal Beterh, was on duty when a car pulled over and beckoned him.

The source said the Corporal, on reaching the said car, identified Victoria Hamah as the occupant of the vehicle, whereupon she told him that there was a man in her house who was causing violence to her and had assaulted her.

According to the source, the complainant consequently asked Corporal Beterh to dispatch a policeman to her house to go and drag the man out of the place.

As a result, the source stated, two men, one Corporal Abeka and a certain Sampson, who is a civilian, went to the house.

Confession
'When the policeman went there, and Frimpong Dardo was arrested, he told the police Victoria was his girlfriend; but they were having problems because Victoria suggested a certain manner of love making, over which he refused to cooperate with her, so Victoria started insulting him,' the source claimed.

The source further stated that the suspect was invited to the police station but because of the complainant's fame, the case was quietly referred to one Lance Corporal Angela Quartey for an amicable settlement.

The source said statements were taken from the former deputy minister and the boyfriend; and they left the station after one Salomey, the CID for the Dansoman Police station, had resolved the problem amicably.

Earlier, one Issaka from Spintex Road was reported to have secured bail for Frimpong Dardo.

He was made to pay GH¢38,000 as part payment for the money the suspect was alleged to have stolen from Victoria.

Ms Hamah was relieved of her position after the controversial tape recording which captured her talking about inside information about the government.
