According to many Scottish around the world, Scotland has always been its own country. The rest of the world is just simply catching up to the fact later today Thursday September 18, 2014 or get the idea Scotland will forever remain United Kingdom. Many have stated Scotland is a country runs by a country, it needs to be run by the native people of Scotland, who know Scotland, who understand Scotland and they need their country back.

And so, this set a perfect example for Equatoria.

Equatoria had always been and will always be different from its two northern sisters region of Bahr El Ghazal and Upper Nile. But can the Scotland today's referendum be an example to the natives of Equatoria? What names will Equatoria bearer? Will Africa be ready to accept redrawing of its map? Is the rest of South Sudanese ready to bearer what English people are going to go through today? Can Salva Kiir bearer with what Prime Minister David Cameroon is going to go through today?

Typically, in the 1800's Equatorians were already a civilized people before the European starts conquering Southern Sudan, while the two Equatoria's sisters regions were still in the dark until recently and are yet colonizing Equatorians today as per their say.

Historically, the Equatorians under the leadership of King Gbudue of the Azande kingdom defeated the Arab Mahdish, Belgium French, French, and British including the Scottish seeking their independence from Great Britain in referendum today. Equatoria has more fertile land, rich in its natural beauties and calmness than the two regions.

Well first, the name of Equatoria seems not to be having any problem alike how South Sudan was desperately in search of a name, Such as Republic of Cush, Republic of New Sudan, Republic of the Nile or Nile Republic its current name, Republic of South Sudan just to name a few among maybe many names which was suggested. Equatoria will either go by, Federal Democratic Republic of Equatoria, The Federal Republic of Equatoria or anything that the Equatoria natives might come up with to just add onto the word Equatoria to make it as a country.

Secondly, Africa the world at large now a day do understand where Equatoria will come from and would want to head in a simple way of the born to rules mentalities or luck of understanding what the entire south Sudanese including the Equatorians fought for, for 50 years 1956-2005 which took over 2.5 million of lives. Hence, the massacred of Nuers and many other minorities in Juba shows why, Africa will want to redraw its map to include Equatoria as its 55 nations and even will want to see Unity State being Africa's 56 states.

Thirdly, it wouldn't be upto the South Sudanese to decide the fate of Equatoria to go either for Referendum which might one day happen be it today, tomorrow, the day after or doubling the Scottish 300 year to 600 years later for Equatoria getting its independent whether the South Sudanese will like it or not. Scotland is been part of United Kingdom for the last 300 years and did signed a treaty to be in Union with Britain in which is not the case for Equatoria. Many might disagreed with such idea of separation asking many question that, why would Equatoria ask for its independent while South Sudan haven't even been 3 years old yet? But the answer here is, did Sudan even take a year before South Sudanese started asking for self-determination back in the 1950's? The answer is no, many South Sudanese including the Equatorians felt the same feelings Equatorians are feeling today, that is why the sons and daughters of Equatoria was first to take arm against Arab. It's understandable that, not all Equatorians today will opt for the separation of Equatoria from South Sudan and be its own nation for the fear of not being disappear at night or on a bright day light by their masters the born to rules or colonizers. Such Equatorians will also not recognize the idea of an Independent Equatoria as it will be an emotional issue to them to lose their masters.

Though, there is a say that goes, the good news never die. Meaning, the few Equatorians who do advocates for Equatoria to be an independent country will always continue to preach to their children, grandchildren, great, great, great grandchildren will one day accomplished the dream which started back in late 1960's to early 1980's and to today's date and this article is going to remain as an one of the evidence to Equatoria's future generations to come that an independent Equatoria is the only viable solution for Equatorians to live in peace.

Hence, history will tell. South Sudan itself hasn't known it had got its independence from Sudan. Who knew the dominant Arabs in the Sudan will ever one day let go South Sudan with all the richness of natural mineral resources, most of all the natural beauty of South Sudan has? In a democratic society which the South Sudanese doesn't know what democracy means, the process of Equatoria separating from South Sudan, should be a clear success as a democratic exercise-a chance for Equatoria natives to express their view and position to manage their own affairs not South Sudanese to decide.

In most cases, many Equatorians alongside their South Sudanese do wonder, Equatorians doesn't have a patriotic leader? Yes, Equatoria might not have a patriotic leader today who the whole Equatorians can relay behind in achieving their dream of self-determination. Let us all consider the fact that; leaders are not born or manufacture in factory as leaders. But their leadership skill tells who they are and the rest will follow. Equatorians have many leaders among the few patriotic Equatorians who have the zeal of Equatoria becoming an Independent country that might come tomorrow.

In comparison to Equatoria's referendum the dream is, it wouldn't be numerous alike the Quebec's 1995's or even the Scottish referendum of “No Thanks” Motto of the No side, while mimicking Quebec's own “Non, merci. But a real yes, yes deal when time comes.

Fourthly, if Abel Alier didn't know how to managed Southern Sudan in the 1970's how can Salva Kiir know how to manage South Sudan today? Salva Kiir has insulted Equatorians so much to the extent of calling Equatorians a Bucking dog who can't bite, really? Is that what the president of people can say about the people he tend to be their president? If that is the case, Equatorians will keep bucking like a bucking dog until they find their land being an independent country. Let the bucking dog keep bucking be it on social media or on the ground. Does Salva Kiir know what happened to Arabs back in the 1900's in Kukuland? The same bucking dogs in Yambio did buck until the bucking dogs bites the born to rules. Can the 2005 history repeat itself that made those who print South Sudan's Blue Print living out Western Equatoria State not being part of South Sudan?

Well, if British Prime Minister David Cameron can emotional pleaded to the Scottish say; He doesn't want the Scots not to tear apart their “family of nations.” And yet do encourage Scottish to exercise their referendum in referendum, who is Salva Kiir to say no to Equatorians not to ask for their independence?

It seems when time come for Equatorians to start expressing their independent view point publicly, here is what will happen, The born to rule will promise to guarantee Equatoria greater equal representations in the government, more respects and fair treatment.

In conclusion: Both sides are in a great fear of losing one way or the other. The born to rule/Equatoria's colonizers as per say wouldn't want to lose their colonies in fear as they wouldn't be able to have control over Equatoria land, while the Equatorians fears losing their colonial resources. Hence, the fate of Equatoria remains in the hand of Equatorians. As stated above, this article among many others previous or future articles written by Equatorians will remain as evidence of Equatorians had try to advocate for the independence of Equatoria and will always strive for the dream to come true be it 700 years later.
