Ashanti regional NDC Secretary, Joseph Yammin has described last week's minority press conference which blamed President Mahama and the NDC government for the cholera outbreak in the country as “irresponsible and unpatriotic”.

The Regional Secretary also accused the largest opposition party of wishing the deadly Ebola virus on the country; a situation he described as another example of the NPP's unpatriotic nature.

He was addressing a group of students at a forum organised by the Kumasi Polytechnic branch of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) of the NDC at the Kumasi Polytechnic campus.

“They speak about our porous borders and use all the big words as if they didn't have eight years to fix the challenges. Which of them can say there were cameras around our borders to help in screening during their tenure. Can they say they fix it and the NDC spoilt it? I just want them to know that Ebola knows no NDC or NPP.”

The outspoken NDC Executive, still spewing venom in the direction of the largest opposition “encouraged” them to “shut up if they have nothing to say” or “better still, focus on the problems within their party”.

“All they think about is power and not Ghana”, he said.

He reassured the students of government's commitment towards fixing the economy and promised that “things will change from next year” and urged them to be ambassadors of the NDC and use every medium available to propagate the works of the government “especially social media platforms”.
