Bugri Naabu, Northern Regional NPP Chairman
The Northern Regional Secretariat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has appealed to supporters in the region to avoid issuing statements which have the potential of causing disunity in the political grouping.

'The Regional Secretariat wants to remind party supporters that we are one people with a common objective of winning the 2016 general elections,' according to a statement issued by the Secretariat and signed by the scribe, Sule Salifu.

Party supporters, the statement asked, should channel their resources and expertise in assisting the party leadership to organise a peaceful and a successful congress on October 18 'to finally elect our flagbearer for the 2016 elections.'

The Secretariat is, therefore, calling on all 'to cease fire on the airwaves and rather expose the failed campaign promises of the John Dramani Mahama-led NDC administration.'

The surest way to capture power in the upcoming general elections, the statement noted, 'Is for the NPP to be very united and we should let the internal contest in our party at the moment rather strengthen us to prosecute the party agenda for the 2016 general elections.'

Continuing, 'The Secretariat of the NPP is also appealing to the media to direct their concerns to the Regional Secretariat or to the Regional Communications Directorate.'
