Petition To The President Calling For The Dimissal Of Sefwi Bodi District Chief Executive From Office

Dear His Excellency, Mr President
We the concern youth of Sefwi Bodi District hereby humbly bring these to your notice that, the dubious acts of our District Chief Executive Hon. Solomon Fuachie to establish the better Ghana Agenda has rather turn to destroy the policy into 'Bitter Agenda'.

The whole of Sefwi land over the years have stayed committed to the programmes and activities of the NDC but it is crystal clear that we are the least developed part in Ghana in terms of roads, hospitals, schools among other just to mention a few.

We believe that the party leadership at the national level has a good plan for the entire Sefwi community but the problem we have analysed over the years is bad leadership at the grassroots level, which is distracting the development of the area backwards.

Mr President, your DCE does not share the vision and aspirations of your policies and our observations has gathered that, instead of championing the course in terms of development, he has decided to champion his own parochial interest neglecting that of the general wellbeing of the good people in the district.

Mr President, the following are some of his mischievous acts:

Firstly and foremost is the amusing of wealth spending at the expense of the development of the Assembly and the District as a whole?

The D.C.E right after resuming the office decided to spend monies meant for developmental projects for on his personal gains. During his tenure of office as D.C.E for Juaboso, a whooping amount of GHC 2 million got loss miraculously from the district assembly's coffers.

In that same year he built himself a radio station called Golden Pod with the frequency number 105.5 MHZ.

He also bought himself a ford 4wd, Mazda saloon car and house in Accra. Currently, he has built a water sachet production plant, for producing purified water sachets and a clinic at Afere.

While he does all of these things for himself, the good people of Sefwi Bodi district who vote got your Excellency elected live in a deplorable state of bad roads network, lack health centres and schools pupil studying under trees.

Instead of championing the better Ghana agenda course, he has decided to champion his own greedy ideas which we called better Solomon agenda.

Secondly, Mr President is the intimidation and the victimization of people within the district. The D.C.E organizes macho men to assaults people who questions his conduct, because most of the commuters are not able to read or write to analysed issues critically to either criticises or either praise the government.

He tags people who talks against him as enemies and further mobilises macho men to beat them. A good example was what happened on 7th September 2014 when the D.C.E together with other men beat up mercilessly an innocent young man in a town called Afere, approximately nine kilometres from the district capital.

This miserable and unjust act of the D.C.E has brought about chaos among party faithful. Most of the party faithful have loss interest and have decided to stay away from party activities leading to the loss of vibrant and energetic members to the opposition party.

Mr President, with our love for the NDC and your respect kindly attend to our call and take the necessary action with an immediate effect or else the party members who has lose confidence in the NDC there shall votes against you coming 2016.

Our next concern is the misappropriation of Assembly's funds been spend uselessly by the D. C.E. The little money the district managed raised and the common fund received from the government is not invested into area which of greater interest of the general people.

The D.C.E has rent an apartment for himself at Bodi, the district capital but has refused to move in and rather staying at Afere, a 9 km long to Bodi.

However, the Assembly has a 'grader' at its disposal meant for maintaining the roads networks in the district; but the DCE has claim that there is no available funds to buy fuel for such activities. This has led to the bad state of our roads connecting towns and villages like Amoaya, Patakro, Bodi, Ahibenso, Ataboka ,Datano and many others rendered in rotten stages.

Mr President, please ask the D.C.E that where the money is collected from the market women, property owners, issuing of licence used for? And from where does he get the money to always fuel is car to and fro if he claims the there is no money in the district? This clearly shows that money meant for developmental agenda s diverted to areas of no good significance to the people. This administrative error on the part of the D.C.E has led to the chastising of the President by people thinking H.E does not think about their welfare.

Furthermore, Your Excellency, the D.C.E has brought divisions and enmity among the commuter of Bodi.

Our concerns are not allegations, but clearly thoughts with evidence, which your outfit can cross check with clearly indication that shows that Our DCE has on several occasions refuse to hold assembly meetings, due to the manner that the assembly members would criticise of projects not moving on in the Bodi District.

Lastly, Your Excellency, is he conscious afford of the D.C.E to frustrate and humiliate one Mr. Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah. This man is a District Finance Officer and a true son of the N.D.C but due his position does not involve himself in active party politics since he is a civil servant. But his small way, he decided to help lessen the burden of the government by providing vital needs of the people.

Therefore he single handed built a 3 unit classroom block with office and store for Afere Kindergarten School, a football field for Amoaya community, a weighing centre at Yayaso and currently building an abattoir at Bodi. Because of the D.C.E who is supposed to undertake these developmental projects but did not has tried any means possible to frustrate this man.

The D.C.E advised the Member of Parliament Hon. Sampson Ahi Kwaku to frustrate his man since they believe that he is a possible threat to their selfish agenda. This resulted in his transfer from Bibiani-Ahwiaso-Bekwai to Tamale but was later changed due to the actions of the chiefs and good people of the district who demonstrated against it. He was then transferred to Sefwi Akontombra District.

The M. P who also happens to the deputy minister for works and housing, during an interview on Rainbow Radio at Sefwi Juaboso on the 24th of August, 2014 said 'if Owusu-Ansah said he wants to be M.P for Bodi that is why he is undertaking these developmental projects then we shall see'. Just two months into his posting to Akontombra District, on the 25thof August, 2014 Mr. Owusu- Ansah received a phone call from Sekondi- Takoradi that he has been transferred to Volta Region, Ho for further transfer to a district.

This is an act we describe as unprofessional, enemy of progress, satanic and greedy at its peak. We have now realised that some group of individuals think about just their positions as D.C.E, M.P and Ministers but not the good people who have entrusted them with the power and votes to make them whoever they are today. We like to set the records straight that we do not have any grudges whatsoever with anyone. Our issues are the conducts of these people in terms of development.

Mr. President all these act committed by the Hon. DCE are acts which can never lead to the progress of the district and the good people who live in it. His own projects he has undertaken outnumbers the projects he has undertaken for the whole district rendering your conscious effort to make Ghana a better place meaningless.

We therefore appealed to you with an immediate effect to remove him from office and also bring him under serious scrutiny for any pesewa he was given during his tenure of office as the D.C.E.

It is our hope, since you are a listening president, you will listen to us and act as the President who frowns on any corrupt practices. If our grievances are not addressed, we the good people in the district will advise ourselves. THANK YOU.
