Battle Of Armageddon Awaits 2016: NPP, NDC Likely To Kill At Polling Stations

Battle Of Armageddon Awaits 2016: NPP, NDC Likely To Kill At Polling Stations
14.09.2014 LISTEN

The Independent Presidential Candidate of the 2012 General Elections, Mr. Jacob Osei Yeboah aka President JOY, has raised concerns over the next general elections predicting that it is likely the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the main opposition NPP would cause people to kill themselves at polling stations.

According to him, it has been made loud and clear that elections are won at polling stations and these are some of the likely implications in the 2016 general elections of Ghana.

He labelled the 2016 elections as one akin to the Holy Bible's book of Revelations where the Messiah will return to earth and defeat the Antichrist (the "beast") and Satan the Devil in the Battle of Armageddon where good would triumph over evil.

“Between these two parties, the NDC would want to prove a point that yes, we actually won and their opponents NPP would also want to prove that yes, the 2012 edition was indeed a stolen verdict. If care is not taken, I tell you people will kill themselves at polling stations to win elections,” President JOY warned.

He was speaking in an exclusive interview with ModernGhana recently.

To him, what would make matters worse is that the credibility of all the peace intervention institutions have all been destroyed hence the loss of trust for these peace interventions could compel NPP and NDC activists lock horns in the battle to win the elections.

“Example like our Courts, the National Peace Council, our chiefs especially Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who wielded so much respect and power...... They have destroyed his credibility.....No one trusts the National Peace Council.......So, you see all these interventions have been destroyed. So one may ask, what is left to be trusted? You get my point! That is what I mean by election of Armageddon 2016. It means, take the law into your hands at the polling stations. It would eventually turn out to mean that "When Thief Man, Thief Thief Man, God Go Laugh".

......... What this means is that we are not going to war and there will be no court anymore to declare winners. And the intensity and the passion being displayed from now to 2016 should tell you and I that, that is the situation. This must tell you that election 2016 is the battle of Armageddon.”

He said when people begin to lose hope in systems, then life becomes totally meaningless to them and everything breaks down.

President JOY, observed among other things, that the EC's decision to increase polling stations from the current 26,000 to 35,000 could be recipe for chaos because even with the 25,000 polling stations nationwide, some polling stations did not have any security men to see to affairs and to protect the process.

He further argued that increasing polling stations to 35,000 was a very wide gap for the security apparatus to bridge in order to meet all the security concerns that the 2016 elections may bring about.

This, he identified, may mean serious security implications for the country.

"The IEA organised a forum recently at Golden Tulip and it was about transparency and acceptance of Ghana's election results and I told them at the forum that election 2016 is an election of Armageddon. I have tagged it the election of Armageddon in the sense that these two political parties NPP and NDC will cause Ghanaians to kill each other at polling stations and it saddens me but that is the reality," President JOY emphasized.
