The Way Of Elohim: Love Your Enemies; Bless Them

Dear reader,

Understanding the place of the Head of all believers is essential to understanding and applying the scripture correctly. No human can ignore the facts of Isaiah 9:6 and Mark 9:7 and successfully grasp and apply the scripture. The life and time of our Lord on earth remains the obstacle to all gospel manipulators and false teachers in all generations.

It was a couple of months ago when my neighbour strangely stopped sending me text messages he attributes to the scripture. When it was observed that over 95% percent of his messages were about killing of enemies, he was sent a short text inquiring who these enemies were. Within 24 hours, my neighbour responded by listing the enemies, which ranged from sickness to poverty/lack and from sorrow, fruitlessness to failure.

It is apparent my neighbour is not alone in this strange thinking. Some of us, who call Yeshua Lord following our affiliation with one or the other preacher, also think this way; we think this way because some preachers came up with this ideology and go all the way to infuse it into affiliates' mindset.

Our father in Heaven mandated mankind to hear His only begotten son; Yeshua strengthened this celestial mandate by giving emphasis to His personality-John 14:6; Luke 6:46.

This same Yeshua who has authority over all things gave believers the command to “love our enemies and pray for them who hate us and bless those who treat us spitefully”-Matthew 5:43-48. How then can any thinking person juggle the idea that the enemies of mankind are human conditions?

Clinging onto such ideology will shift the essence of Matthew 5:43-48 to “Love sickness, failure”; “bless sickness, poverty, which use you spitefully”, and “do good to sickness, poverty and failure, which hate you!” How real and just these statements sound? False teaching as the above produces a flurry of false teachers and false brethren.

Sickness, poverty, failure are not our enemies; Sickness, poverty, failure are human conditions (fiery darts) enemies use to hold us down-Ephesians 6:16. Our enemies are the devil, which we hardly see and mankind whom we see. The worst we can do against our enemies is to resist-James 4:7 or rebuke-Matthew 16:33 (but not to kill) them; rather than kill, we should love them, bless them and pray for them. This is the way of Yahweh.

In the past, witches were not spared to live-Exodus 22:18. That was possible because there was no Yeshua-Isaiah 9:6. This Lord came and suspended such death, the same way He ensured that homosexuals and adulterers were spared; instead of stoning a witch, homosexual or adulterer-Leviticus 20:11-13, Yeshua isolated and delivered the sufferers from their afflictions and gave them room for repentance-Luke 7:22; John 8:11.

We should be grateful to the Lord for repealing the death sentences taking into consideration the level of witchcraft/sorcery, adulterous and homosexual practices ravaging the society and even the supposed body of the Lord. Of course, had such laws remained our pulpits and society would no doubt, have been many times cleaner.

Humanity has the capacity to love our creator and one another. We have the capacity to obey the commands of our Lord and the capacity to resist the offences from our enemies-Luke 17:1.

Enemy means opposing hostile person/s that are out to inflict injury on others. A common example includes people that willfully pervert the scripture and feed ignorant and zealous brethren with poisonous baits; baits we know full well will lead to objectionable outcomes.

Any human against the words of Yeshua will pass for an enemy. Anyone who engages in willful plot to cause injury and suffering to another will pass for an enemy. As a believer, this will include atheists, cultists, witches, wizards, false (teachers, apostles, prophets), etc. These are the people our Head wants His body to love, bless and pray for. We pray for their repentance so that their iniquity will be forgiven, so that they will reign with Christ in His Kingdom.

No one loves someone one they have not first forgiven. We must first forgive our enemies before we can love them; this was the examples Yeshua and Brother Stephen showed-Luke 23:34; Acts 7:60. This is neither by might nor by power; for by strength shall no human prevail. The Holy Spirit in the life of the believer will make this possible.

This is the way of our father in Heaven.

To Elohim be all the glory.
