In a country where Cholera seems to be killing a lot of people, there is this particular community where sanitation has been a big challenge. It is just prudent that an opportunity is created for the future leaders of the community in question to seek their views on sanitation and the environment. We believe that younger people can also contribute to the brainstorming process in solving sanitation problems on debate platforms and in effect get the perspective of young people on the subject.

It is from this background that Kidspal Concepts International is organizing a debate contest at the Junior High Schools of the Ashaiman Ghana Education Service Circuit of School on SANITATION and ENVIRONMENT in Ghana and especially Ashaiman.

The contest will begin on the 25th of September to 23rd of October 2014.The debate will go through three stages; at the first stage eight Junior High Schools from the Ashiaman circuit of schools will debate among themselves to get the top four schools to debate at the second stage. After two weeks of intense debate among the schools, two top schools that will emerge will have a grand debate (third stage) at the assembly hall of the Ashaiman cluster of basic schools.

An average of about two thousand (2000) students from the eight schools will be present with their teachers and external judges and the Ghana Education Service for the final contest. Each school will be represented by two debaters. Emerging winners at every stage will be awarded with educational materials, and some products to motivate them and also encourage others to participate in subsequent contests. The winning school at the grand final shall also win a trophy to be defended at the next season's contest. The debate contest will inform, educate and entertain all and sundry.

As anNGO our objective isto facilitate the development of children in Health, Education and Environment to prepare them into healthy, responsible and better citizens for tomorrow. We do this by holding contests in ICT, Visual Arts, Debates and other advocacy programs that help in the development of children and facilitate learning.
