Man And Girlfriend Beat Up Pregnant Wife To Death

Begoro Divisional police command has arrested two persons in connection with the death of a 25-year old pregnant woman, Mary Faby at Dedeiso near Begoro in the Fanteakwa district of the Eastern region.

The suspects are Moses Agudu, 28 and his alleged girlfriend Maamley Abraham,30 who are all residents of the community.

According to the Divisional police commander DSP Samuel Odame, on Thursday 28th of this month about half past six in the morning, the deceased confronted the accused Maamley over an affair she claimed was going on between her and her husband, Agudu which later turned ugly leading a misunderstanding.

He said Agudu upon hearing the incident rushed to the scene and joined her girlfriend to assault his seven-month old pregnant wife, Mary.

DSP Odame further explained the victim later around half past eight conceived twins prematurely after complaining of abdominal pains an hour earlier but unfortunately lost them.

The deceased however died later on in the early hours on Friday at exactly thirty minutes to one o'clock in the morning just less than twenty-four hours of her assault.

Meanwhile the two suspects are being held by the police helping with investigations.
