Moro Zongo
Moro Zongo, who is aspiring to become the Brong Ahafo Regional Propaganda Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has cautioned his fellow contestants to avoid mudslinging.

According to Moro Zongo, who is a regular contributor to political programmes on various radio stations in the Brong Ahafo Region, the NDC cannot afford to lose the Brong Ahafo Region.

Mr. Zongo disclosed this to DAILY GUIDE in an exclusive interview after launching his campaign at Wenchi.

'The reality is that the party needs unity to ensure the success story that all aspirants are preaching about,' he said.

He said since a divided army cannot win a battle, the NDC has to improve its performance.

Moro Zongo said he had gathered that some aspirants have started using some unprintable words against their opponents, adding that the development would negatively affect the party after the delegates' congress.

According to Zongo, he would put measures in place at the regional level of NDC to increase the votes from the Zongo communities tremendously.

It is an undeniable fact that the NDC, as a political party, has firm roots in the Zongos but that should not be taken for granted because over the years the NPP has been gaining ground in Zongo communities and so there is the need for fresh blood to be injected into the party in order to maintain the lead, he said.

Mr. Zongo, a graduate teacher, admonished the youth in the NDC to defend government policies and resist intimidation by the NPP.

He was unhappy with the situation whereby the President   defends the government on most issues.

Moro Zongo told DAILY GUIDE that he would hit the ground running very soon to convince the delegates to vote for him in the primary.
