Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey will speak to coach Kwesi Appiah about his future this week.

The former Ghana number one has been axed from the 24-man squad getting ready to begin camping ahead of their games with Uganda and Togo.

The double header will however have two others, Razak Brimah and Stephen Adams, in goal for Ghana as they were chosen ahead of the Norway-based man.

All this comes after Kwarasey had publicly blamed Kwesi Appiah following Ghana's disastrous World Cup. The player had followed it up with an interview recently that further bashed the national team setup.

GFA Communications' Director, Ibrahim Sannie Daara had said: “Regarding Adam Kwarasey, his comments after the World Cup have not been helpful. He questioned the competence of the technical team and also questioned the basis for inviting some players,” Sannie Daara said.

“In a way he implied that some players don't deserve their place in the national team. He questioned the inclusion or exclusion of a player which has a potential of bringing a rift into the team,” the GFA spokesman continued.

“And when these things happen, there is the need to deal with it behind closed doors and ensure it is resolved before he comes back into the team,” Daara explained.

But now both Appiah and Adam will engage in a showdown to smoothen things. Kwarasey's problem is that Appiah was not in charge at the World Cup.

“Management will like to engage Kwarasey behind the scenes after this qualifier to address his issues so that if there is an opportunity for him to come back to the team, they can draw a conclusion on whether to call him back,” Sannie Daara stated.
