Reports reaching DAILY GUIDE indicates that 44 students of the Kintampo College of Health and Wellbeing in the Brong-Ahafo Region have been withdrawn from the college due to poor academic performance.

DAILY GUIDE gathered that the affected first-year students could not meet the mark to proceed to the next level following their abysmal academic performance.

According to the report, the affected students' Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) fell below 1.5.

Media Relations Officer of the Kintampo College of Health and Wellbeing, Daniel Wiafe Akenten, who confirmed the report to DAILY GUIDE when contacted, said Section 7 (4) of the College's Students Hand Book states that 'any student whose Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) falls below 1.5 at the end of any academic year will be withdrawn from the school.'

Three field technician students, three health records students, two direct medical assistant students, six laboratory technician students and four health promotion students have all been affected.

The rest include 10 nutrition students, two registered dental surgery assistant students, four disease control students and 10 health

information students.
