PRESS RELEASE BY FRIENDS OF NANA AKUFO-ADDO IN GERMANY
27.08.2014 LISTEN

With just a few days to the Super Delegates Conference of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Sunday August 31 2014, Ghana has once again become the centre of international attention for good reasons. These elections are very crucial not just for the NPP as a party but more importantly Ghana as a country. Thus, the decision the delegates make on this day will determine the future direction of our beloved mother land.

Against this backdrop FONAAG will like to take this opportunity to appeal to all delegates to be guided by the greater national interest by voting for Nana Akufo-Addo, who over the past four decades, has dedicated and committed himself to the service of our dear country and humanity.

Like millions of Ghanaians across the globe, FONAAG recognises and appreciates his exemplary and incorruptible leadership and selfless devoting to public service all of which have inspired a generation of Ghanaians the world over.

There is no doubt that the current economic crisis confronting Ghana is largely as a result of corrupt and incompetent leadership. Leadership that seem to have no sense of purpose or direction and as such our country now looks like a sinking ship on the high seas without a captain to bring it ashore.

Clearly, Ghana cannot continue on this path of self-destruction; it requires and deserves a new type of leadership – a leadership that has the vision to transform the economy as well as the courage and determination to fight corruption. Nana Akufo-Addo provides that transformational and incorruptible leadership that has eluded Ghana and Ghanaians for the past five and half years.

FONAAG have no doubt that the Super delegates are Ghanaians who are genuinely interested in the future development and prosperity of our country. FONAAG is therefore, appealing to them to vote for Nana Akufo-Addo to bring into reality the new Ghana that we all yearn for.

Long Live FONAAG
