OKYEAME KWAME’S SECOND HEPATITIS B VACCINATION

Okyeame Kwame Foundation, organizers of the recently held Hepatitis B Screening and Vaccination at James Town Mantse Agbona, with support from Theobald Hepatitis B Foundation, MDS Lancet Laboratories, Roche, Ridge Hospital OPD and MTN Ghana Foundation, organized the second phase of vaccination process at the Adabraka Ridge Hospital OPD on the 23rd of August, 2014.

One hundred and Twenty Eight participants in the first phase were available and vaccinated as other participants are expected to make it for the vaccination until Tuesday, 26th August, during which time the first vaccination had expired.

The Foundation explains that all participants of the first vaccination “were constantly reminded about this second vaccination but not all of them attended so we are expecting them to come before Tuesday.”

The vaccination started at 9 am and ended at 5 pm as broadcasted earlier during the week.

The third vaccination is expected to take place on the “24th of January, 2015”; participants were informed.
