MTN, Ghana's leading Telecommunication Company, on Thursday held its second edition of Career Fair to guide and counsel graduates and students in tertiary institutions with critical knowledge and information that seeks to set them apart from the crowd in the job market in Accra.

The fair is to complement efforts of private and public sector, NGO's and other key organizations that are focused on bridging the gap between the employed and unemployed in a sustaining manner.

It is also to psych and expose the youth to job creation opportunities.

Mr. Noel KojoGanson, General Manager, Consumer Marketing, MTN said “the career fair is focused on empowering the youth to take advantage of the future ahead of them”.

He said because of thelimited availability jobs in the country their target is to train graduates to be job creators but not job seekers.

“This forum is to get all of us to think beyond getting a job and to consider the possibility of creating a job and be our own managers instead of searching for non – existing jobs. This is possible and we will teach them”.

“MTN is creating the opportunity to enhance our graduate's world view and to further increase their ability to compete on the job market”.

He urged the graduate's to make use of technology to enhance their skills and in job search.

Resource persons take participants of the fair through topics such as Profiling, adherence to best practice when loading CV's on line and what employers look for during Job interviews, establishing successful businesses through Partnerships Talent management and art of job creation and Coaching and mentoring the youth in Job Creation.
