Just Being Silly

Just Being Silly

One of the well wishers, a deferred gentleman, said responding to the tantrums of such a character would be unduly dignifying a man undeserving of such an honour. Above all, he argued, it is a waste of valuable space in a mass circulating newspaper which has an important mission under a bad government.

Sometimes political clowns deserve responses, even if limitedly, as we seek to do out of deference for our readers and those who entreated us to hold our fire.

Someone who bears the baggage of running a shito factory in a government bungalow, and glaringly avoiding paying the necessary taxes, is forever bereft of the moral standing to level charges against others.

This reference would have been unnecessary had Ohene Ntow stayed out of the gutter he has opted for himself since he went overdrive with his campaign ploys.

Yesterday the man, who once served appallingly as the scribe of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), could not subdue his frustration over the diminishing returns he is attracting in his current political occupation.

His boss could do with a change of a spokesperson at this stage, given the abysmal performance of the man whose non-appealing demeanour and acerbic reactions are anything but mind attracting.

Even when questions were posed to him about the substance of a correspondence he authored regarding the appointment of a Communications Director when he was scribe for the NPP, he veered off the subject, preferring rather to attempt running down the paper alongside the Publisher.

Even before Freddie Blay assumed the position of Deputy Chairman of the NPP, the newspaper had always had access to classified political stories—a strong point which has endeared it to many Ghanaians, including Nana Ohene Ntow.

Hon. Freddie Blay does not take part in our editorial matters, let alone discuss the goings-on of the NPP with the professionals who run the paper. How many meetings have taken place anyway, since the new executives assumed office, to warrant such an ignorant and silly conclusion?

Even a political novice understands why Nana Ohene Ntow would seek to join Hon. Freddie Blay and the DAILY GUIDE in prosecuting his mischievous agenda.

Nana Ohene Ntow's infantile action is a game-changer in his relationship with us. We won't tolerate any attempt to berate us in the way he sought to do.

More vicious politicians have tried, to no avail, to derail our operations. Nana Ohene Ntow would suffer more ado if he persists on this path of calumny and name-calling. Let him bring it on.

After touting his experience of media operations in the country it sounds outlandish that he would express such smelly ignorance. We had always thought the man was an expert in media matters. Oh no!
