FONAAG Intensifies Campaign

19.08.2014 LISTEN
By Friends of Nana Akufo-Addo In Germany (FONAAG)

The Friends of Nana Akufo-Addo in Germany (FONAAG) over the weekend took its membership drive campaign to the Southern German City of Frankfurt to explain to Ghanaians why the group has decided to throw its weight behind the former Attorney General and Minister of Justice.

Addressing the large and enthusiastic crowd that had gathered for the event, Nana Adinkrah Kosopreh, Secretary of FONAAG said Ghana has reached a cross-road where decisive leadership is urgently required to salvage the country from the current economic crisis and the unbearable situation in which Ghanaians find themselves.

According to him, Ghana with its rich and vast human and natural resources should have been an economic giant and not a country that continues to depend on foreign donors to finance its budget and said what has been missing is effective and decisive leadership adding, “the lack of selfless, honest and committed leadership is what has led to the development of our underdevelopment”

Nana Kosopreh told the gathering that Nana Akufo-Addo provides that missing link that has eluded Ghana and Ghanaians for the past five years arguing that for nearly four decades he (Nana Akufo-Addo) has demonstrated not just his commitment to the service of Ghana, he has also by his deeds demonstrated that he is a leader who can be trusted to provide the honest and dedicated leadership that Ghana deserves.

The national coordinator of FONAAG, Mr Adam Inusah announced that so far 120 Volunteers have been registered to help campaign for Nana Addo not just for the Flag bearer contest “ We are looking beyond the congresses in August and October, we are preparing and strategizing towards 2016, Inshah Allah” he added.

He disclosed that members have through voluntary contributions purchased telephone call cards for distribution to volunteers to enable them call delegates in Ghana to appeal for their votes and indicated that FONAAG will do whatever is humanly possible to ensure that Nana Akufo-Addo is elected the President of Ghana and said “Every delegate will be individually contacted to solicit his/her support for Nana Akufo-Addo.

The next meeting of FONAAG will be held in Stuttgart on Saturday 25 August 2014

FONAAG is a voluntary Association of Ghanaians who share Nana Akufo-Addo vision of providing transformational leadership and the modernisation and the industrialisation of the economy. Membership of FONAAG is made up of Ghanaian Professionals, Businessmen and Women as well as Ordinary Ghanaians genuinely interested in the future development and advancement of Ghana.
