MY TAKE ON SAM'S COMMENTS ABOUT DR. OTABIL

Some of these NDC government officials are worse than tyrants, they are worse than traitors or even mercenaries. Trust me even with the help of a dictionary, I cannot be perspicuous enough in my attempt to describe them and whatever values they have assumed in their sordid leadership.

At least, a tyrant may not give the people much of a choice but may still act in their interests, while mercenaries and traitors I'll simply describe as crooked business men, but for these group, one which purports to pursue the best interests of the people using the most friendly system of governance, hides behind the same democracy to suck the very lives out of the people and then in spite of democracy, they have developed an immunity to being held accountable. Their wiles and chicanery are off the charts. Today's submission has nothing to do with competence so I won't even go there.

First of all who is Sam George? In spite of the fact that some of us hardly read, listen or watch the news in Ghana, we are hardly bereft of news of individuals and organisations who are drivers, movers and breakers of frontiers in this nation so once again, without any apology, who is Sam George? What then gives him the effrontery to call Dr. Otabil names, suggesting he isn't what he claims to be (a man of God), questioning the integrity, acumen and excellence of his leadership and also the exercise of his democratic right in holding the government accountable for the regrettable state of the nation at the moment. Such impudence, with impunity these group of people go about doing and saying what they like and no one, not even the president puts them in check. Then comes the concerned ones like Dr. Otabil to call on them to be more circumspection and accountable in their leadership for the sake of the people and this country, and this Sam George because of his indifference, selfish ambitions and unfaithfulness to this nation tries to discredit the man by heaping lies on him.

This Sam George has no right whatsoever to question anything Dr. Otabil said. Where was he when such a man was giving blood, sweat, sleepless nights, comfort and joy to establish the kind of impact he's made in this nation? Who can bring any charge against the leadership of Dr. Otabil, tell me, who? And you think such a man will risk the well-being of the same people for a diplomatic passport? Ah, Sam you're trying too hard, even I with not much to show won't do that. It is not your diplomatic passport that gained him the respect and honour he receives from prominent individuals and nations. It is not your diplomatic passport that grants him audience from across the globe. It is people like you, Sam George whose objective is to obtain diplomatic passports at whatever costs so wouldn't mind bringing this nation to its knees and lying about everything and everyone and disrespecting people you don't even know just to obtain that.

You know what, you will never get it easy on that quest because there is Dr. Otabil and there will always be men and women like him, seeing to it that the right thing is done.

But for my acquaintance with the leadership (which has been without close contact and correspondence) of this great man and lover of this nation, I won't be who I am today, I would probably not even be writing this. And I am talking about an acquaintance that begun only recently in 2008. I know I am only one among many with a similar story. I am however yet to meet a single individual who will testify about a positive transformation in their lives since you and your took over governance of this dear nation of ours. Mr. George, it will therefore be better for you if you would quit spewing gibberish and harken to wisdom that can help salvage some of what you and your government have destroyed.

Some may call this an emotional rant but that will only tell me they read this with a special spectacle on. To such people, I say it is precisely because of you that these people even get to be in government and I don't know who is more pathetic. It is you men and women like Dr. Otabil fight for so take off your spectacles and embrace your liberty.
