Wontumi Beats Newly Elected NDC Chair For Calling Him A Criminal
07.08.2014 LISTEN

A constituency chairman for the National Democratic Congress, Alhaji Abubakari Musa was forcefully made to eat back his words after labeling Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako aka 'Chairman Wontumi' a criminal.

The poor NDC executive together with his macho escorts, were single handedly beaten to the pulp by Mr. Antwi-Boasiako when they ditched civility and opted for violence as a way of solving the difference which arose between them.

It all occurred when Alhaji Musa tried to prevent people from registering with the Electoral Commission at a polling center in Asawase.

In an interview with an eyewitness who was present at the center, he stated that “an agent for the NPP who was present at the center questioned the NDC constituency chair over the issue and this resulted in the use of vulgar languages.”

“The NDC chair was heard telling the NPP agent that his party has bused people to the constituency in order to register. Not pleased about this, the NPP member also replied that if we are to look for the real criminals, then it is the NDC because everything that occurred at the Supreme Court shows clearly that they used fraudulent means to get to the top”.

Our source continues that it only took the timely intervention of Mr. Antwi-Boasiako for calm to return. But the peace could not be held for long, when all around saw Alhaji Musa turn his heat on Chairman 'Wontumi'.

“Out of the blue, the man started calling Wontumi a criminal and described him in unprintable terms. He even tried to put his hands into his eyes but Wontumi resisted. It turned into a physical exchange and the end result was that Wontumi disciplined him like a father would do to his son and others who tried to help him, also received their share”, the source narrated.
