OKF Joins CSR Forum

25.07.2014 LISTEN
By Osei Kusi Foundation (OKF)

Osei Kusi Foundation joined a special forum on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) organized by the Private Enterprise Federation (PEF) in collaboration with Konrad-Adenaeur-Stiftung (KAS) on 15th July 2014.

The aim of the forum was to collate view points on the various schools of thoughts on CSR in order to recommend best options for Ghana's CSR policy framework. It was chaired by Ms Joyce Aryee and involved representatives from Ministry of Trade, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre and several multinational firms.

OKF took the opportunity to champion the need for corporate bodies to invest in the youth of Ghana as part of their CSR.

Mr Kofi Osei-Kusi in his comments at the forum highlighted that if we do not invest in our youth:

- we have no future as a nation
- we risk the escalation of crime in the near future due to mass

unemployment
- we would have a youth without a vision for their future.

OKF is becoming a leading voice in Ghana on youth development matters, calling on all and sundry to invest in our youth - our most important resource as a country.
